Training Program

QUEST, Inc. Adult Training Program

The QUEST Inc. Adult Training Facility (ATF) Program provides services to individuals diagnosed with developmental and intellectual disabilities.


Our ATF program began operating in the spring of 2013 to meet the growing needs of individuals in our community. Our program focuses on the Everyday Lives guide which centers self- determination of the individuals we serve, while providing a safe, supportive and team-based environment.

 

We provide services to a wide range of functioning levels and we are able to adapt the program to meet the needs of the individual. We will provide the services to meet individual needs including, but not limited to, sensory concerns, motor skills, personal adjustment and social skills. The program promotes and places an emphasis on building relationships within the program and throughout the community.

Goals for individuals in the ATF are achieved in a group ratio and focus on volunteer opportunities, life skills, socialization, community integrated opportunities, and vocational skill building.

QUEST, Inc. Supported Employment Services

QUEST Supported Employment Services offers employment discovery, job finding, community-based assessments, and coaching to people with disabilities to discover, obtain, and retain employment in the community setting.

An important component of this service is our partnership with local businesses. We understand and recognize how important it is to recognize the needs of our economy and to align the training needed to partner with local businesses.

Through our community-based work assessment we can identify individual strengths and interests, assist in finding the right job match or helping to create a job through customized employment. This process supports the process of resume building, applying, and interviewing based on the individuals’ needs and strengths. Once a job is obtained, we can continue to support the individual with on the job training and support.

Benefits that our local business employers have reported include lower absenteeism and tardiness, dependable and reliable workers, applicants who are pre-screened for job specific skills, and on-site training and support by experienced ACRE-trained Employment Specialists. Businesses are also able to receive staff sensitivity training, support with understanding accommodation, and on-site assessments.

QUEST Small Group Employment Services provides a learning environment for individuals with disabilities to practice and master skills in specific trades.

Small Group Employment Services offers opportunities for individuals in custodial, lawn care, warehouse and retail service contracts.

QUEST, Inc. Home and Community Habilitation Services

QUEST Home and Community Habilitation Services assists individuals to reside successfully in home and community-based settings. This service is provided in a one to one staff ratio, and supports individuals with improving skills related to: independence, socialization, and life skills.

Our Habilitation Specialists support individuals with many different goals and outcomes in the home and community setting including: volunteer positions, learning how to complete household chores independently, health and wellness Goals, socialization, building and maintaining relationships, participating in community activities, traffic safety, transportation in the community, and accessing community resources and centers.
